Lynn Martinez (WSVN)
Co-Anchor of 7 NEWS First at 4, 7 NEWS at 4:30, 5:30, 6:30 & Deco Drive
Emmy Award winning Lynn Martinez Anchors 7 NEWS First at 4, 7 NEWS at 4:30, 5:30 and 7 News at 6:30PM. She also co-hosts the popular entertainment show "Deco Drive" at 7:30PM.
Martinez came to WSVN in 1991 as a co-anchor of TODAY IN FLORIDA, WSVN's # 1 rated morning news program and general assignment reporter. One of a trio of anchors in the morning, Martinez quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to weekend anchor. Two years later, she moved to her current assignment on the weeknight news. In 1998, she began co-hosting Deco Drive, the half-hour news magazine show known for celebrity news and the latest on the South Florida entertainment circuit.
Martinez began her broadcasting career in 1989 at the CBS affiliate in Cadillac, Michigan, where she served as an anchor and producer.
During her 16 years at WSVN, Martinez has covered the inauguration of President Bill Clinton, was one of the first U.S. reporters to cover the atrocities in Bosnia, traveled to Holland after the murder of a German tourist in Miami, and went to Rome to cover the Pope. She was also featured on the Fox program "America's Most Wanted" on a story about how to survive a carjacking. She's covered numerous hurricanes including Andrew in 1999 and Wilma in 2005.
For "Deco Drive," Martinez has also interviewed numerous celebrities, among them: Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Cameron Diaz, Andy Garcia and Keanu Reeves.
Martinez won an award for a series on organ donation called "Dying for an Organ," and was nominated for an Emmy for her coverage of Hurricane Andrew.
Martinez is actively involved with numerous charitable organizations, including "Women in Distress," a program that provides shelter and services for the victims of domestic abuse. In 2004, Lynn received an Emmy for the "Women in Distress", Public Service Announcement she is featured in.
Martinez has a masters and bachelor's degree in journalism from "Webster University" in St. Louis, Missouri. She is married and has two children.
Julie Durda (WSVN)
Julie was born and raised in Sacramento, Calif., where she started her career in broadcasting as a traffic and feature reporter in 2003 at KXTV. She continued her experience at KRON in San Francisco before coming to CBS 5.
Julie graduated from American River College and attended Sacramento State, and is finishing her studies with a degree in meteorology from Mississippi State University.
As a member of the 2002-2004 San Francisco 49ers GoldRush Cheerleading Squad , Julie interviewed players and fans for the local Comcast station. She also appeared on the TV reality series "The Bachelor." On Sundays she can be found in front of the TV watching football -- she says it's her favorite day! In the rest of her spare time, Julie enjoys running half-marathons, watching movies and cooking.
Jennifer Santiago (HDNews)
Jennifer Santiago is an attorney, freelance writer, photographer and Emmy Award-Winning reporter for HDNews. She began her career with WFOR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Miami. In 1997, she received her law degree, with honors, from Villanova University School of Law in Pennsylvania where she was also a member of The Villanova Law Review. Jennifer produced the independent feature film Runnin' At Midnite, which was selected for several film festivals.
In 2007, Jennifer, a reported vegetarian, received a Genesis Award from the Humane Society of the United States. The award was given in recognition of a series of reports including "Stopping the Seal Hunt"-- which also appeared on the CBS Evening News
To mark his first 100 days in office, Florida Governor Charlie Crist gave Jennifer an exclusive interview in Tallahassee. Governor Crist noted the two were making "history" as the interview was the first he granted inside the Governor's mansion.
In February 2006, Congressman Kendrick Meek sent President George W. Bush a copy of Jennifer's report "Return to Haiti" urging the President to halt the deportations of Haitians because of an omission in the Haitian Refugee Immigration Fairness Act."Return to Haiti" chronicled the story of an undocumented Haitian migrant who was sent back to Haiti after living in the United States for 15 years. He left behind three U.S. born children and a wife. "Return to Haiti" won numerous awards and recognition from prominent Haitian Advocates. like Congressman Meek and Haitian-American political activist Marleine Bastien.

Martha Sugalski (WTVJ NBC6)
Martha Sugalski is an experienced news anchor and reporter from Miami. She is currently a popular anchor/reporter for WTVJ NBC6 and weekday evening anchor for WBZL, the WB affiliate, serving Miami/Ft. Lauderdale. She previously was a consumer reporter at West Palm Beach's WPTV, another NBC affiliate, and a general assignment reporter at WPBF in West Palm Beach.
A communications graduate of Florida Atlantic University, Sugalski is a native of Philadelphia who grew up in South Florida.
A mother of three, she has served on the Board of Directors for Adopt-a-Classroom in South Florida, a non-profit organization that links the business world to the public school system.
Pam Giganti (WTVJ NBC6)
Pam Giganti calls herself one of the luckiest anchorwomen in all of local television. Not only is she able to work in a field that she loves, but she does so every morning with legendary anchor and reporter, Bob Mayer. Under chemistry in the dictionary, there is a picture of Bob and Pam, who affectionately like to refer to themselves as “Bam” in the morning.
Pam has been anchoring the number one morning show, Today in South Florida, at NBC6 since June 2001. During her time in the anchor chair, Pam’s been recognized with an NBC Ovation award for Outstanding Teamwork and a Certificate of Excellence.
Pam is a veteran newswoman who has covered and done many of things you would expect a reporter to do, such as covering presidents and leaders, soldier’s at wartime and countless hours of hurricane coverage. But perhaps one of Pam’s most memorable and unusual broadcasts was the time she jumped out an airplane for a radio show.

After graduating with honors from the University of West Florida’s professionally accredited journalism program, Pam worked in radio in Pensacola, Florida and then in San Diego, California. She began her television career in South Florida.
Pam has always believed that to whom much is given, much is expected, so she lends her time to certain charitable organizations. Pam is a board member of the anti-drug organization and statewide Red Ribbon campaign sponsors, Informed Families. She is also a mentor for Women of Tomorrow, an outreach program for at-risk high school girls. Each year, she and her co-anchor Bob Mayer emcee the Children’s Bereavement Center gala. They have also participated together in career day events at local schools and the International Book Fair. Pam is with Autism Speaks and has emceed both a fundraiser and luncheon. She recently participated in a “Reading is Hot” event at the American Airlines Arena for Miami-Dade public school students and read a book to 11,000 kids!
Speaking of kids, Pam is a mother of 3 daughters, who keep her and her husband, Alfred, very busy with homework, after school activities, and sports. In her spare time, Pam likes to read, exercise, and travel.
Christine Cruz (NBC)
Christine Cruz joined the 7-News team in September of 1996 as a Reporter. In January of 2000, after reporting and filling in on the anchor desk, Christine was named co-anchor of WSVN's #1-rated morning news, Today In Florida. Christine can now be seen co-anchoring Today In Florida weekdays from 5:30am to 9am and again on 7-News at Noon.
Christine began her career as a reporter and weather anchor in 1992 on Dynamic Cablevision. In 1994, she then moved on to WSCV Channel 51 as an entertainment reporter and weather anchor. After her work at WSCV and prior to joining WSVN, Christine took on the job of anchor for the Discovery Channel's "Cyberlife."
Christine graduated with high honors from Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication. She was valedictorian of her high school class, and was crowned Miss Miami in 1995.
